Our Services

Supported Exempt Accommodation Services

IICCE provides supported exempt accommodation for vulnerable adults in Birmingham. We manage properties, coordinate support, and make sure every placement meets the standards that residents and partners expect.

Understanding the Sector

What is Supported Exempt Accommodation?

Supported exempt accommodation is housing provided to vulnerable adults alongside care, support, or supervision. It is called “exempt” because residents can claim a higher rate of housing benefit to cover the additional costs of support services.

This type of housing is designed for people who cannot live independently without help. For exempt accommodation to work properly, three things need to come together: safe and compliant properties, structured support delivery, and professional management.

IICCE exists because too many providers in this sector have fallen short. We partner with registered providers and local authorities to deliver supported exempt accommodation that meets regulatory expectations and actually helps people progress toward independence.
